IT'S FOUNDATION DAY!!!Authored on August 4, 2021Finally making progress on our new home build! After many, many months of planning, clearing land and weather delays, we have finally made it to this monumental day. IT'S FOUNDATION DAY!!! We are pouring the foundation for the new house and the shop. We are so excited about this...our dreams are beginning to come into view. So much time has gone into the planning and preparations.
Hopefully, the progress will be much faster. We never realized how much time and effort it took to build a house. When we started the planning process, we were thinking it would take 3-4 months to begin construction. We were so wrong. It took more than 10 months to get to this day.
On a positive note, the people we have met so far in the country are all so kind and helpful. In fact, they'll offer as much advice as you need. We love the country already. The people are kind, the air is fresh and it's so much more relaxing.
Stay tuned for more updates. The framing is scheduled to begin next week. We are truckin' right along.
